Trademark & Brand Use Policy
1. Overview
24siteshop respects the trademark rights of third parties. This Trademark & Brand Use Policy explains how we refer to third-party brands on our site, what is and is not permitted, and how trademark owners can request corrections or removals. Our aim is to be transparent and cooperative while providing clear information to customers about product compatibility.

2. Our general practice
- When we list a product we may use a brand or product name (e.g., “Compatible with [BrandName]”) only to indicate compatibility or identification.
- Use of a brand name on our site is informational and does not imply sponsorship, endorsement, or affiliation by the trademark owner unless explicitly stated.
- Trademarks, logos, and brand assets shown on the site remain the property of their respective owners.
3. Permitted / Typical uses on our site
We generally use third-party brands in the following lawful ways:
- Nominative (compatibility) use: Indicating that a product is compatible with or works alongside a particular brand/product.
- Descriptive use: Explaining what a product does or which platform it supports (e.g., “Works with WooCommerce, WordPress, etc.”).
- Comparative or editorial use: Informational comparisons or reviews (subject to accuracy and fair use).
We avoid:
- Using official logos or trademarks in a way that implies official partnership unless we have explicit permission.
- Misleading titles, slugs, or product pages that could cause a reasonable person to believe the product is the official offering of the trademark owner.
4. If you are a trademark owner — how to contact us
If you are a trademark owner and wish to request that we remove, correct, or clarify a trademark reference, please email contact@24siteshop.com with subject LEGAL / TRADEMARK and include the following:
Required information
- Your full legal name, company name (if applicable), postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- Clear identification of the trademark(s) you claim ownership of (word mark, registration number if available, jurisdiction where registered).
- Exact URL(s) on 24siteshop where the trademark appears (for example:
https://24siteshop.com/product/example-product/). - A precise description of the action you request (remove, replace logo, add disclaimer, change product slug, etc.).
- Evidence of ownership or authorization to act (trademark registration certificate, screenshot of official registry entry, or a statement of authority if you represent the owner).
- Any supporting documentation (e.g., screenshots, host/provider notice, URLs showing prior use).
- A signed statement (typed name acceptable) stating that the information is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the trademark owner.
Optional but helpful
- Preferred timeline for action and whether you would accept a corrected description/disclaimer instead of removal.
5. How we respond
- Acknowledgement: We aim to acknowledge receipt of complete trademark requests within 48 hours.
- Investigation: We will investigate the claim promptly and review the evidence provided.
- Action: Where appropriate we will remove or correct the trademark reference, replace logos, rename slugs, or add clarifying disclaimers. For straightforward requests we generally act within 3 business days. Complex matters may take longer.
- Proof of action: On request we will provide a confirmation email and, if needed, screenshots or logs showing the action taken.
6. Counter-representations & disputes
- If a listing is removed or changed and you believe the action was taken in error, you may respond to our confirmation email with additional evidence or a request for reconsideration.
- If you are not the registered owner but believe use is permitted (e.g., nominative fair use), explain the legal basis and provide supporting documentation; we will review in good faith.
- We reserve the right to refuse requests that appear to be abusive, fraudulent, or lacking any legal basis. False or knowingly misleading claims may result in further action and potential liability for the claimant.
7. Urgent / hosting-provider forwarded notices
If a hosting provider or third party forwards an urgent trademark/abuse notice, please include the original provider notice as an attachment and set the email subject to LEGAL / TRADEMARK — EXPEDITE. This helps us prioritize and coordinate with the hosting partner.
8. Examples (how we will typically handle)
- Example A (compatibility claim): Listing says “Compatible with ExamplePlugin” → We will keep the compatibility note but ensure the page contains a clear disclaimer: “Not affiliated with ExamplePlugin.”
- Example B (logo use): If a trademark owner objects to a logo image used on a product tile, we will typically remove the logo graphic and replace with a generic icon or product screenshot.
- Example C (confusing slug): If a product slug exactly matches a trademark owner’s official product and owner requests change, we will rename the slug to a generic form (e.g.,
gpl-form-builder-addon) and redirect the old URL if feasible.
9. Recordkeeping
We maintain an internal abuse log that records trademark complaints received, the evidence provided, actions taken, and timestamps. This log helps demonstrate our good-faith handling of claims to hosting providers and rights-holders.
