1. Introduction
If your content or product listing was removed from 24siteshop.com due to a copyright (DMCA) complaint and you believe this was a mistake or a misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice. This page explains how to file a counter-notice and what happens after submission.
We take these matters seriously and aim to balance the rights of copyright owners with the rights of users to access and share GPL-licensed software.
2. When to submit a counter-notice
You should submit a counter-notice if:
- You believe the content was wrongly removed.
- You have the legal right to use and distribute the content (e.g., GPL-licensed code).
- The removal was caused by error, misidentification, or misunderstanding.
Do not submit a counter-notice if:
- You are unsure of your rights.
- You know the material infringes copyright.
- You cannot accept legal responsibility if challenged in court.
3. What your counter-notice must include
Send your counter-notice by email to: contact@24siteshop.com
Subject line: LEGAL / DMCA — COUNTERNOTICE
Your counter-notice must include:
- Identification of the material that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury: “I have a good-faith belief that the material was removed or disabled as a result of mistake or misidentification.”
- Your full legal name, postal address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the courts in Assam, India (or the location of your residence, if outside India), and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original DMCA notice.
- Your electronic or physical signature (typing your full legal name is acceptable for email).
4. What happens after submission
- Acknowledgement: We will acknowledge receipt of your counter-notice within 48 hours.
- Forwarding: We may forward your counter-notice to the original complainant.
- Waiting period: If the original complainant does not file a legal action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the removed content, subject to hosting provider rules.
- Outcome: If a legal case is filed, the matter will be resolved by the courts and not by 24siteshop.
5. Risks & responsibilities
Submitting a false or bad-faith counter-notice can expose you to legal liability. You are declaring, under penalty of perjury, that the material was removed in error and that you have lawful rights to use/distribute it. If you are uncertain, seek legal advice before filing.
